Ditto on sendmail here for the inbound part(currently on Solaris)
although we will be moving to a Suse Linux machine with postfix (which
does not require the alias file maintenance) shortly. The listserv box
is behind a cluster of Ironport appliances which are configured to
accept something like 25k messages per transaction from listserv via
BSMTP. The ironports handle the actual delivery, so all listserv does is
dump the outbound mail to them and let the appliances deal with things
from there.
