A list-owner who has several filelists was attempting to add a new entry to a
filelist named SYLLABI FILELIST. Inadvertently she used alpha o's in the
filetype when she should have used numeric 0's. Therefore, when she PUT the
actual file (whose filetype has numeric 0's in it) and then tried to GET it,
she received a message says file not yet available.
 
Then she sent a REFRESH filelist command to Listserv and Listserv sent back
messages indicating there were no entries for *any* of the previously stored
files (plus the one that had just been PUT!)
 
Bottomline: No one can GET any of the files from this filelist now.
 
BTW, I got a backup copy of the SYLLABI FILELIST file, corrected the
invalid entry, (using Xedit) and first attempted to use LSVPUT SYLLABI
FILELIST(PUT, to create a valid filelist file. Listserv said LSVPUT is not a
valid command (amony other things.....) So I used the PUT command (without the
PUT option) and Listserv seemed to accept this just fine! HOWEVER, when I got
a copy of the "changed" filelist, this is now it looked:
