Greetings all!
I am a neophyte who's task it is to install and render useful both ORACLE
v.6 for DOS and ORACLE for Macintosh v.1.2.
I have not yet succeeded in getting ORACLE for Mac even running. In the
single page addendum to the installation guide, it is stated that running
ORACLE stacks requires HyperCard version 2.0 or higher. I have tried
HyperCard versions 2.0 AND 2.1. When I attempted to open the System Stack,
in either case, I received the error message:
"Can't open stack System Stack. The file is not a HyperCard stack."
Running HyperCard version 1.7 results in the unsurprising message from
ORACLE: "Later version of HyperCard required".
Any suggestions? Meanwhile, I am trying to get a response from the local
office...but things move slowly out here.

We have had Oracle for the Mac installed for some time and have
had no problems with it.
Does your Mac correctly identify the system stack as a Hypercard
document when the list of files is displayed for the stack
folder??
