I think you're asking for trouble down the line, by naming your
domain after your list. What if you decide next year to start a new
list? Will you have to change the name of the domain again? You're
unnecessarily limiting yourself. Will someone looking for a list
think to look at the host name? "Mail" is not a particularly
descriptive name for a list.

From a technical point of view, for changing both the list name and
the hostname, you could have mail for *oldlist*@oldhost and
listserv@oldhost forwarded to newhost (add oldhost to
MYDOMAIN in the site configuration file), and use the New-List header
keyword for oldlist on newhost to direct THAT mail to
[log in to unmask]
