Trust me....this was the first question I asked Cisco when it came to the
review committee. We've got v.6 of their OS which appears to have the
looping problem fixed. So far we haven't had any problems with LISTSERV
actually sending or receiving mail. If anything, mail performance has
picked up slightly due to the PIX filtering out unecessary traffic.

What I'm trying to sort out now is what rules to allow traffic *into* the
LISTSERV box over ports 25 & 53. It seems that all the inter-site traffic
over the LISTSERV backbone communicates directly to our box, bypassing the
mail server, and the PIX is dropping all of it. Consquently, I'm not seeing
any LVMON contacts, X-SPAM jobs, or Spam alerts (is this such a bad thing?
:). On top of that, my Network Admin wants to know why we have all this
traffic from other LISTSERV sites. He's afraid that they're spam attacks on
a massive scale.

Chazzozz!!
