A warning: we have 2000 lists, and a 1Ghz cpu (a tad slow, but more than
good enough for the ongoing mail delivery), and a request to query all
subscriptions for a user takes about 2.5 minutes. During that time no mail
gets delivered, no one can use the web interface. Most sites don't run
that many lists, so it isn't an issue, but it's worth remembering.
