No. This is a long standing, well known limitation of the Crosswell VM
MAILER. You will be pleased to hear that it has been fixed in Version 2,
about which you may expect to read more on the XMAILER@BITNIC list shortly.
 
The specific bug you found is that the Version 1 MAILER will not properly
handle quoted strings (or parenthetical remarks, for that matter) if they
are "folded", i.e. split across multiple lines.
