Is the mail actually being generated by LISTSERV or does it just have the
spoofed listname as the FROM: and being distributed by spamware?

What is your SEND= value?  Oh heck, what are all of your list definition
headers?

Actually, you might also conside a

QUIET SERVE listname@listhost OFF
or
QUIET SERVE listname@listhost OFF DROP
