Out of a need to better understand the topic myself, I recently wrote
a 10-page Beginner's Guide to the LISTSERV File Server which explains
how to set up files for distribution, along with the supporting FILELIST
and FILEID files.  I've attempted to keep it simple and at the same time
make use of recent LISTSERV features such as disk checking and dynamic
disk access.  It's gone through several drafts and been vetted by Eric
