Lots of folks on SAS-L responded to me that that was exactly what was
happening to them, too.  And, no, I am not going through any gateway
that reformats things that I know of.
 
I am on a VAX, running PMDF that hooks directly into the VAX mail
command.  We are directly TCP/IPed to VTVM2 which has the LISTSERV
that sends me my listserv mail.
 
I can get a copy of a message and send it to you to prove it...
