Hello,

I have been thinking about the fact that I 'waste' every week
15 minutes in creating new lists (yes, we create more than 1 list/week
now, 95% of the lists is for local usage). So I was wondering
it isn't time now to automate also this part a little bit.

Mostly I send the requestor a questionnaire with 10 basic questions
(name of the list, description, open/close, edited, moderated, logs, ...),
and then I create the list.

Although a list owner guide will help, I don't think this is the
most advanced solution.

I guess this can be done with a program, so that people who wish to
create a list can start an interactive session with listserv.
If the interactive session completes succesfully, the list is created.

The interactive session can be done using TELL (good old tell, or
the new Internet tell).

The program managing the thing must be :

- configured to know from which *.domains people may create a list
- know all the list header possibilities and how they relate
- user friendly
- be able to create lists (= putting them on listserv, and telling
lmail that there is a list now with the name xyz).
- ...

I don't see anything for the moment why this shouldn't be possible
(except to find someone who writes the stuff).

What do others think about this ?

Thanks,

-Herman-
