You have two kinds of configuration:  MANUAL install, which is what Jenny
has chosen, and  AUTOMATIC install, which is the default.  No password is
required for the manual installation. For the automatic install, you have
two choices: no  password (the default), or the definition  of an install
password,  which must  be provided  to  effect the  installation. If  you
choose manual install (which is not the default), you get a CARD LOADable
file in your reader and it's up to you to install everything manually. If
you want to have automatic update with password validation, well you must
first  choose  automatic  update,  and then  define  a  nonblank  install
password (in LOCAL SYSVARS with all the rest of the stuff).
