Hi...

My list members who use WEBTV, and now YAHOO, are unable to access the
archives without being constantly prompted for a login.

From what I am able to determine, the software thinks that my members are
trying to access the archives from a computer other than the one they
subscribed on. This is not the case.

Apparently there is a conflict between the listserv software and WEBTV and
YAHOO that may have something to do with the subscriber's server being remote
from the subscriber themself. (I don't understand any of this).

Thinking that it might be cookies, my WEBTV subscriber unsubbed, then resubbed
and re-registered for the archives, making sure that she did not select the
option to save her password as a cookie. She still is allowed to read only
one message before before she is prompted out of the blue for login info.

She has called WEBTV numerous times. The last thing she was told was to
contact L-Soft. Since I have several list members using WEBTV exclusively for
internet connection, I want to see what I can do to resolve this conflict. Is
there any way that L-Soft can contact WEBTV and see where the software
incompatibility may lie? I don't think that this problem will get resolved
with my list members being the go-between, and WEBTV apparently is clueless as
to what the problem is.

I've also gotten some feedback from others who use WEBTV, but who aren't on my
list, who are having the same problem. Thus, I know it most likely isn't with
my settings.

Thanks for your help.
