As long as the userids in jmu.edu are the same as in dukes.jmu.edu, you can just declare dukes.jmu.edu to be an alias for jmu.edu.  This way no one as to change anything.  If listserv gets mail from a dukes.jmu.edu address, it will treat it as if it came from jmu.edu.

to register the change.  You can then hand edit your local copy of alias.names to start using this concept.
