Yes, I am replying to my own message. I figured out the solution to my
problem and thought someone might find it interesting.

Problem: Each of our 15,000 (more or less) email users has a minimum of
three valid email addresses in our domain. If an individual logs in using
an address which is not listed as an owner, moderator, or subscriber of a
given list, the individual may not be able to access desired list-related
pages. Individuals who log in using stored cookies are often unable to
correctly identify the email address which was used to login.

Solution: Modify the SUB-TOP-BANNER template to display a message showing
the email address which was used to login, or a message stating that the
individual is not logged in, as appropriate.

----- begin template: SUB-TOP-BANNER -----
+SE CUSTOM_MESSAGE You are not logged in

+BB &+COOKIE_LOGIN;
+SE CUSTOM_MESSAGE You are logged in as &+COOKIE_LOGIN;
+EB

<table width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="3" height="25">
<tr>
<td align="center">
<b> &+CUSTOM_MESSAGE; </b>
</td>
</tr>
</table>
----- end template -----
