This might be a FAQ, and it is certainly non-critical, but I'd like to
know how to release a held list that no longer exists. Whenever
LISTSERV comes up it says: * Warning 1 list(s) are held. Send a list
command to determine which one. A list command doesn't show any held
list.

I think I know what happened: A number of months ago we moved a list,
and held it until the other site had ensured that all was operating
correctly. Then I deleted the list without thinking to free it.
(Mea culpa :-) Now if I scan the LISTSERV files for the name of that
list it only occurs in CRC FILE. Is that the cause of the warning message?
And if it is, is it safe to delete that line? Or is there some other
trick to get rid of it?

Thanks in advance... Gerrit
