I wish there were a requirement that all out of office messages
do a few simple things like always have the From: of postmaster@...,
never send more than one message to the same address during the
absence, always use the SMTP MAIL FROM  address to reply so for
lists it would go to owner- (actually, that is in the
standards for errors at least...), etc.

    It looks like "kindly" appending a new timestamp and new message
instead of just doing a reply with a static body, the duplicate
checking wouldn't work.
