The STATS command is only available on VM, and is not likely to be
ported to other environments any time soon.

However, I think that you have 1.8d of LISTSERV, right?

If so, then you can use the Change-Log feature to get the information
you want.

Simply add this:

* Change-Log=Yes

to your list header.

This creates a file called listname.changelog (where listname is the
name of the list, of course), which looks like this:

19980201130629 SIGNOFF [log in to unmask]
19980201130629 SUBSCRIBE [log in to unmask]
19980201130629 AUTODEL [log in to unmask]
19980201130630 AUTODEL [log in to unmask]

The first field is the datetime-stamp of when a particular even
happened, the second is the event that happened, the third is the
email address it happened to, and depending on the event, other
fields are pretty obvious.

You can get a copy of the changelog so far either directly off the
server if you have physical access to the file itself (it's a text
file) or you can ask LISTSERV to send it to you via e-mail by sending
the command:

GET listname.CHANGELOG PW=your_password

(assuming you are the list owner, of course).

There is also an unsupported utility available on our "contributions"
ftp site:

ftp://ftp.lsoft.com/contrib/changelog_check.exe

which you can use to get subsets of the changelog (play around with
it, it should be pretty obvious how it works -- just don't expect
wonders, it's a very simple program).
