The BITNET nodes  JVNCC and JVNCD which  are from the John  Von Neumann Center
Consortium  for Scientific  Computing  were removed  from  the BITNET  network
yesterday (April 30, 1990). These nodes were part of the supercomputing center
which has  recently lost funding from  the NSF and  has had to close  down the
supercomputing operation.  The JvNCnet networking  entity still exists  and is
accessible via the Internet.
 
These two  nodes will have  their routes dropped  from the PUCC  routing table
today. Please inspect any distribution lists on LISTSERV or other such servers
and remove any network addresses that specify the nodes JVNCC or JVNCD.
