Can I be the owner of a list from a VMS machine?
 
I set up a list (ucp-l) with Owner= gerland@ubvmsb
then issue the SEND LISTSERV@UBVM GET ucp-l
edit the list and put in the first line *PUT ucp-l PW= list-password
then SEND /FILE ucp-l.list LISTSERV@UBVM
and get mail back from LISTSERV saying that the results of my job 'GERLAND'
are invalid command on the first userid in the list and the remaining
commands have been flushed.
 
What am I doing wrong?  These same steps from CMS produce the same errors.
