Everyone's missing the point!  Of course (as Eric points out) it's just
about as easy to do these tasks using mail as it is NJEactively, but
what is needed for the long pull is. . .(you ready for this?). . .
 
a WWW-compliant interface that allows a list owner to bring up a window
full of little boxes he can click at, e.g.:

[ ] on the __th day of every month
[*] (no renewal is required at all)
