Darn, So basically whatever I do with this 93 char email address I am not
going to be able to register it on a list as it is ?

Actually it has to fit the address and the fullname into 80 characters.
The last 20 characters of the 100 are reserved for the user option string
(the "flags" you're referring to).  On the other hand if you have a long
userid the fullname simply gets truncated, so in theory you can have an
80-character userid@host in a list (and I've had many nearly that long).
I suspect Margaret's mail client is simply wrapping the ADD line.
