It has been suggested to me that this might be the best forum in which
to raise a technical question which our local ListServ experts are as
yet unable to answer. I am not a member of your list, so please reply
directly to my address.
The University of Toronto has just shifted electronic mail accounts
from a CMS to a UNIX mainframe, with the result that the ListServ
which controls our Bitnet discussion groups is on Bitnet, while the
editor/owner accounts are on the Internet. (The lists in question are
private).
Under UNIX, in these circumstances, there does not seem to be a way to
send files directly to ListServ for posting on the fileservers, since
editors and owners have now only remote access via domain names.
Has anyone found a solution for posting files on ListServ without
direct use of the SENDFILE command?
Thanks very much in advance.
