This is host_name aliasing, i.e. we are only dealing with the right side of
[log in to unmask]  userID's are not a part of this process.

The performance hit is negligible since the lookup is local.  It is almost too
small to measure.

You must STOP/RESTART LISTSERV after making the change to aliases.names for
the change to become effective.
