This may  include deliveries forwarded to  other servers. The best  is to
count the "stat=Sent" lines in your  sendmail log (or whatever it says in
8.7).

You can't calculate the number of SMTP connections from the LISTSERV log.
You can only count  the number of messages passed on  to sendmail and the
number of recipients.

The monthly stats are a flat average  so you will find that you have peak
days with more traffic and days  where for whatever reason people did not
have much  to say (and  then the weekends of  course). There is  also the
fact that your machine may not have been in service since Nov 1. The full
UB workload should give you peaks of over 600k deliveries.
