Attempting to SERVE a user results in the message user has not been
served off (or words to that effect).
 
Yet the next attempt by that user to subscribe results in bounced mail
saying the user had been served off.
 
SERVE then says not served off.
 
LASTING GLOBALV shows the user in the DISABLED list.
 
So, am I missing something obvious?
