Odds are, the listmaster@<url> address is registered in the LISTSERV name-and-address 
database with (username) as the name associated with that address.

You should be able to use the LISTSERV 'register' command to change the name associated 
with that address. You might want to make the name something like '<site> listmaster', so 
that the next LISTSERV sysadmin does not have to go through the same exercise. See the 
LISTSERV documentation for details regarding the use of the 'register' command.
