I thought something  along these lines had already been  posted here, but
it turned out it was on LSTOWN-L. This seems to have been identified as a
bug in LISTEARN.

Greetings, yes it is a known problem, and I hope to have found the
solution. After a recent fix, the problem of appending messages
seems to have stopped, but I will know for sure after waiting for
a while for its re-occurrance. I have installed the patch at FRORS12,
FRMOP11 and TREARN. Currently I am waiting for its results.
