I have a user who owns a list for which he uses Send=Editor (with himself
as editor). He sent me a note (below) complaining that when he resends
mail back to the list for distribution, his address is placed in the
"From:" field instead of the original sender's. Does anyone know how I
can get LISTSERV to generate the "From: original sender" field he wants?

I don't like the way LISTSERV 1.5L handles mail with
"Resent-" tags. I am the editor of a list so I can filter
out junk and misdirected requests. I don't actually edit any
of the good mail--I just send it on as is. When I get
something to be sent over the list, I resend it and our mail
utility hands it off to our Crosswell MAILER with "Resent-"
tags, and it delivers it to the VM userid for the list. Then
LISTSERV puts the "Resent-" tags in comment lines and puts MY
userid in the "From" field. The result is that lots of
people with mail utilities that filter the headers think the
mail is from me! They get no indication of who originally
     sent the message.

Many Thanks & Regards,
