"LISTSERV" is the name of a program I wrote that is available only for VM
mainframes at the moment. "ListProcessor" is the name of a mailing list
manager for unix that drew inspiration from some of the LISTSERV
concepts. It is NOT a unix version of LISTSERV. It is not compatible, it
doesn't have the same features, it is configured and maintained in a very
different way, it doesn't work in the same distributed way as LISTSERV,
in other words, it is not the same thing. Saying that LISTSERV is
available for unix is like saying that MacOS is available for intel
processors, it's just called "Windows 3.1".
