I have been involved in the establishment of a Siberian husky discussion
group which went on-line recently. However, we are currently trying to
use a private server that is not used to handling the logistics of an e-mail
discussion group. We have encountered a number of problems which
have been difficult to overcome (including a one early morning e-mail
distribution per day) and are interested in finding a host that would allow
the smooth operation of our list. At last check we had 99 subscribers. I
would be interested in any details or info you might be able to provide us
in hopes that we can better meet the needs of our subscribers. What
costs are involved in using a host site you provide?

SIBERNET SUMMARY:
Sibernet has been on-line since the end of May 1995. This list is devoted
to the Siberian husky and welcomes all Siberian husky owners,
breeders, exhibitors, or anyone with an interest in the breed. This list
provides a forum for the discussion of all topics related to Siberian
huskies. The issues that can be discussed through this mailing llist are as
varied as our breed's talents and abilities. We hope to also meet public
education needs, foster ethical breeding practices, and promote
responsible dog ownership. Topics not welcome on Sibernet:flaming of
any sort, adverstisements of puppies for sale, animal rights issues, and
general sledding topics.

Both co-moderators are active in their respective Siberian husky breed
clubs. They both have strong desires to act toward the betterment of this
breed by providing the type of public education information on-line which
will aid interested parties in making responsible decisions.
