are you sure it's Exchange breaking the links and not Mailsweeper?  Some of
these realtime mail scanners have their own inbuilt SMTP services that act
as a forwarding agent.  The only way to test this theory would be to try
sending mail without passing it through the scanning software.

One advantage of using LSMTP is that you shouldn't need to send anything
through Mailsweeper anymore.  If corporate policy dictates that mail needs
to be scanned for viruses then with LISTSERV 1.8e you've got the benefit of
fulltime antivirus scanning with F-Secure.  We bit the bullet and upgraded
to LSMTP early in the financial year and I can say that mail delivery has
improved out of sight compared to forwarding through an Exchange server.
