I <believe> this is only available under NT and that 5.2 is incorrect.
However note that if you try this under unix (and there is no guarantee
that it will or won't work till I am able to check back through my notes
or ask Eric), you would have to put the hostname in quotes and export the
variable, eg,

CMDPIPE_HOSTNAME="myhost.com"
export CMDPIPE_HOSTNAME

I'm pretty sure, however, that this only works under NT.
