Subject: SIGNOFF
 
1. Your TECHREP has no special privilege as far as SIGNOFF and FOR
   are concerned.
 
2. The person(s) that have been declared as NADs for your site (:contact.
   tag, and possibly :acontactN./:acontforN.System Contact) do.
 
3. FOR userid SIGNOFF * (NETWIDE is not the proper way to do it, especially
   if you have 200 users to sign off. If you want to saturate the lines, do
   issue 200 SIGNOFF * (NETWIDE commands.
 
4. The recipient of a SIGNOFF * (NETWIDE command, be it the user or the
   NAD (FOR xxx SIGNOFF), receives exactly the same amount of information.
   It is therefore false to say that the user will receive notification,
   although the TECHREP will not.
 
The proper way to do it is to send the following file to your nearest
LISTSERV:
