This is my second request for help.  I and my list owners are getting
desperate.

When a user of the web interface selects either "Mailing list management
interface (list owners only)" or "Server management interface (server
administrator only)," the system inserts the following error message

"Error during command authentication
Error - unable to initiate communication with LISTSERV (errno=10106,
phase=SOCKET, target=127.0.0.1:2306). The server is probably not started.
Expires: Thu, 01 Dec 1994     00:00:00 GMT Cache-Control: no-cache,
must-revalidate Pragma: no-cache Expires: Thu, 01 Dec 1994 00:00:00 GMT
Cache-Control: no-cache, must-revalidate Pragma: no-cache "

This is at the top of the page asking for userid and password.  It is there
even for people (like myself) who have saved passwords in cookies.  In
addition.  If you TRY to login, the system responds with a similar error
message at the top of the page informing you that it could not authenticate
you.

Since the server also hosts other applications, I am reluctant to reboot the
server.  But I have tried starting and stopping Listserv, but to no avail.

Any suggestions????
