I think the question was about active probing.

If not, ignore this part...

Active probing is turned off by removing the "Probe" parameter from the
"Renewal=" configuration option.

For instance... this Renewal setting will see active probing:

        * Renewal= 6-Monthly, Delay(7), Probe

this one will not:

        * Renewal= 6-Monthly, Delay(7)

If you are still getting active probe messages after doing that (you
should not be), then modify the PROBE1 template by adding this at the top:
