Though I am no SMTP expert, I do know that L-Soft, Inc.'s products use
the EHLO SMTP protocol if they are able (by interrogating the response
from the customer's SMTP server). I did notice that both MX hosts at
this customer site produce long text message (negative) responses. My
next command did NOT occur (on my terminal screen) in the usual
left-most column.
