L-Soft announced the release of LISTSERV 15.5, featuring support for
RSS abstracts and the capability to connect to LDAP servers to
authenticate user logins, insert LDAP attributes in mail-merge
distributions and implement dynamic queries.

* Double Opt-In As a Power Practice *

As email marketing matures, and quality triumphs over quantity, it is
time to refocus on the permission and double opt-in processes. Most
legitimate email marketers place permission among the top best
practices. Double opt-in, or double- confirmed opt-in, is the gold
standard. When these processes are implemented, everyone wins.
