There is no "all-request" entry in my /etc/mail/aliases file. What does
the entry look like to be able to send to all the list owners? I wrote my
own script that would update a mailing list of owners, but this would seem
an easier way of notifying them.

Which is exactly what I did. It works out nicely, but we do not use the
info to send mass email to all Listowners. Emailing all list owners is
trivial. Just send the message to all-request@hostname where "hostname"
is the Internet hostname of your Listserv system.
