 + I am looking for a program which can convert logfiles to html-files. I've
 + encountered hypermail, but that requires a UNIX version I don't have access to.

Take a look at LWgate (http://www.netspace.org/users/dwb/lwgate.html),
which provides a hypertext interface to archives on the local server.
LWgate runs also on Linux.
 
Which some effort, the information manager AskSam (www.asksam.com)
can be used to convert logfiles to html-files, but it runs on Windows.
