Hi Birdie --
1. to access the uvm gopher you can
a. if you have a moose account, you can login to moose and just
type "gopher"
b. if you have a pc or mac on the network, you can run a local
gopher client. if you don't have the software, the appropriate
version is on the Phoenix server (login as guest, no password),
and check in the Mac/internet or Dos/internet folder.
if you have any problems give a holler and we get you going !
2. As you will find out, there are several uvm gophers -- one with
infocat, one in academic computing, and another on moose. one
of these may be appropriate -- but gophers can even be established
on a PC-6300 !!!
Ciao
Steve
