I'm starting to get interested. I have no reason (I think) to worry
about the working of peering (I think "peerage" would be a classier
word; "peering" has all kinds of overtones of "peeping"), because my
lists never will be, um, peered at . . . but I'm wondering if someone
can offer me an explanation of what it means in this context.
All the other messages about doubled acks and so forth lead me to
believe there's something worth knowing about going on.
