Murph asked about the loop on MINI-AIR:
> What puzzles me is, if Marc is the only one empowered to distribute mail to
> the list, then howcome the mail from the misconfigured daemon at Alaska.Edu
> got posted?
I can answer that. The rejection notice from Alaska included the
From: line with the editor's address in its header.
The KIDLINK list also got rejection notices from Alaska.edu
Fortunately, in our case, the messages did not cause a loop--they
were caught because "postmaster" is served out.
I've attached the complete header below. Here are the key lines:
> From: Odd de Presno <[log in to unmask]>
> Subject: Hebrew on KIDLINK
> Sender: Non-delivery Notification <[log in to unmask]>
> To: "Org.To IMCC2" <[log in to unmask]>
Odd de Presno is one of the editors of this list. We would have
had an infinte loop if the "served-out" mechanism had not caught
it.
I also wrote to [log in to unmask] and have received no
answer.
I also found the error message itself somewhat less than
perfectly clear:
> [Non-Deliverable: Unable to create new message file IMCC2]
