Though I may not be uptodate, it was certainly true that a specific LISTSERV machine could have multiple IP addresses or cycles through various worker processes.  It is also true that a specific LISTSERV host could leverage the power of the LISTSERV Distribute Backbone such that the host that transmits to the subscriber's host site changes from time to time.
