Hi everybody.
I'm having a problem getting single messages delivered to myself
and at least one other subscriber to hwy61-l. One message has been
delivered all day. There may be a problem with digest delivery as well.
Last night a simple search of the archives didn't bring back anything
that included what I was looking for. There should've been about 40
messages indexed. After searching for a few other items I've searched
for in the past, (so know what the results should be) it seemed to
me that the database was corrupt. Soooooo....
I told LISTSERV@UBVM to "refresh hwy61-l" and that probably actually
refreshed the filelist, yes? . The searches seem ok now,
1/2 the time :-) and bring back the proper info, 'bout 1/2 the time,
BUT that was the wrong command, wasn't it? (blush)
It should've gone something like "database refresh hwy61-l" right?
Anyway - My main question is: did I inadvertently disable/wipe
out/de-switch some sort of switch that allowed for continuous delivery
of things?
As far as I know, indexes are being delivered. Set myself to Index
and then back to mail. The partial index was delivered right away. Not
sure about digests though. Pretty sure, but haven't actually seen one.
I can send to ubvm and get a copy of the latest log, which started last
night. So, messages are getting to the archives.
What else can I tell you... Pinged and tracerouted the nation. They're
still there. (AUVM and UBVM I mean.) I'm not served out. No one is served out.
I sent a test message to the list to see if it was delivered to me. It wasn't
but it's in the log.
It can't be the gateway, since things are getting into the log.
What'd I do? HELP!!!! (Please?)
