It is my understanding that LISTSERV observes case sensitivity for
whatever is to the left of the @ because some mail systems reject
addresses with the wrong case in that area of the address.
Open to correction if I'm wrong.
However, from practical experience in working with a list I've found
that for some commands case matters and for others it doesn't. I can't
recall which are which as to this as I long ago adopted the policy of
entering addresses *exactly* as given in the list or as shown on the
person's email. That way I don't have to worry about it. ;-)
