TEST1 REPORT is an individual file. A  "generic entry" is an entry in the
FILELIST  defining a  group  of  files sharing  the  same attributes,  as
opposed to a series of individual files. A typical example is a series of
monthly minutes.

Note: you actually type the ">" sign.
 
This entry  defines the group of  files. You can then  add files matching
this pattern without having to update  the FILELIST. You can also use AFD
ADD on the generic entry.
