You need to have relaying enabled for LISTSERV to work properly.  Exchange
will see all mail from your LISTSERV machine as being 'from outside' and
therefore subject to the relaying rules, regardless if they are both on the
same domain/network/etc.  What you need to ensure is that realying is
enabled in Exchange but lock it down so that it will only allow relaying
*from a single IP address* (your LISTSERV machine).  You should find this in
the same section as where you turn on/off relaying.  I haven't played with
Exchange 2000 so I can't advise exactly where to look.
