I'ld appreciate a response from listowners who work from UNIX platorms and
whose lists meet the following parameters.
To avoid confusion, the address used for all settings will be:
owner_editor@nodeA
1) Send= Editor
2) Editor= owner_editor@nodeA
or Editor= owner_editor@nodeA,(listname)
3) Owner= owner_editor@nodeA
4) the owner/editor is subscribed to the list with the address
owner_editor@nodeA, Mail= Yes Repro= Yes
or Mail= Yes Ack= Yes (though the former setting would be
preferable)
4) as editor, mail submitted for approval is sent back to the list using
the Elm "bounce" function
Given these parameters, here are the questions:
Do you get, as a subscriber, a copy of the message when it is
distributed by the list (or an Ack if that's how you have it
set)?
If not, do you get *anything* indicating the message was distributed?
Have you ever initiated potential loops by using either the Elm
"bounce" function or the "forward" function?
Which version of Elm are you using?
I hope I've covered everything so I won't be tempted to bother you with
this again.

P.S. Thanks to everyone who has already written to me on this and to
Eric for his help. dw
