In article <[log in to unmask]>, [log in to unmask] (Robert Carr
Flanagan) says:

If the list-owner has announced it on NEW-LIST, search the notebook
archives. Replace 'listname' below with the name of the list:
/* ------------ E-mail to: [log in to unmask] --- */
//ListSrch JOB Echo=no
Database Search DD=Rules f=mail
//Rules DD *
S listname -
in new-list where subject does not contain list-of-list
index #.5 subject.73
print
/*
// eoj
/* ------------ E-mail to: listserv@ndsuvm1 --------- */
Also, sometimes a 'listname WELCOME' file is available to
non-subscribers (at the LISTSERV host site), or is sent
to new subscribers e.g., TQM-L WELCOME is an example of the
former.
